Where do I even begin to describe Victoria and John's BEAUTIFUL wedding day? Victoria is a chronic planner and I was truly worried that once the wedding day arrived she wouldn't stop planning and just enjoy all of her hard work, but she did. The one request she had from John was a quiet moment, a first touch and that he pray for them before all of the craziness got underway. January and I decided that the mountains would be a beautiful backdrop for such a special moment and even though there wasn't a wall, John promised he wouldn't peak and Victoria said she trusted him. The sweetest moment was when she started to cry and he asked if he could hold her. We all laughed, we knew he was trying to cheat and see her, but he behaved and we got her back inside and all was well. She and John wanted to genuinely celebrate the beginning of their marriage and HOST a beautiful wedding day for those they love most and decided to keep the actual wedding day among the immediate family and a few very close friends. The location they selected, the GORGEOUS Inn at Tranquility Farms is a clean and elegant space which overlooks our beloved western North Carolina Mountains without making you traverse miles and miles of steep rocky roads. The amenities are outstanding, as is the staff and the grounds are kept like a 5 star resort. This place really took our breath away. Victoria knew she hit gold when she found the venue and even though she and John were planning on hosting a smaller party she wanted to make use of the property as much as she could.
After their ceremony, in which they incorporated both American and Thai traditions the couple hosted dinner on the front porch of the main house at the Inn but only after an amazing cocktail hour where guests feasted on hor d'oeuvres and pumpkin and apple spice donuts (which John had flown in overnight from the orchard in Vermont where he proposed to Victoria).
After dinner everyone moved to the Inn's grand ballroom for more food and dancing! There was so much food that everybody needed to dance off dinner for awhile before they were ready to dive in to all the desserts John and Victoria had laid out for them! It was such a beautiful day and for couples like John and Victoria who consistently check on US and make sure that we're okay, we love them. It's our greatest honor to work hard for them, to support them and do all that we can to provide them with the best experience possible. We love you Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan! Congratulations again on a lifetime of love and marriage! You deserve every happiness life has to offer!
