"You're cute. I like cute things!" That was the sweetest thing I think I've ever heard a new wife say to her new husband on a wedding day. That just about sums up Juliette in a nut shell. She's bubbly, loves life, her family and friends and did I mention teaches little kids all about creative arts and drama? Yea, no, really? And her name is Juliette! Alan? Well, he's this quiet bear, you kind of want to hug him but you're not sure how he'll react. By the end of the night I was pretty sure he'd just squeeze me back tight but it's pretty obvious he's madly in love with Juliette and it's easy to see why.
They selected Historic Rural Hill as the backdrop for their wedding and reception and oh my goodness, we could photograph a hundred more weddings here. The newish May Davidson Hall allows for such a nice reception space and it was the perfect break for the extremely hot August sun. We haven't seen a reception and group of people love and have so much fun together in a while. There was so much joy and celebration surrounding Alan and Juliette the love was felt for miles! One of the sweetest touches was Alan's selection of his best lady, his sister. Even in the beating August heat and sun Juliette and Alan locked eyes in their ceremony and it was like no one else was there, just as a wedding should be.
With lots of DIY touches (thanks Mom) and special little reminders that made the day very personal, there was just so much to look at and enjoy. They even included their sweet nicknames for each other as their cake topper and their wedding cake was an homage to their honeymoon in Vancouver Canada!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gaines. We are so honored to have been your wedding photographers!
