We're finding ourselves in Asheville a lot and with that at the Biltmore A LOT. I'm happy to shoot there and each time I do I'm learning more and more about the light, the best places, times and all the little ins and outs. If you're like me at all, do you stop each time one of the Biltmore commercials come on tv? I do, it doesn't matter if I've seen it a a dozen time, "it was last night at the Biltmore"...SUCH A GREAT ADVERTISING campaign. It gives me goosebumps each time I see it. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about...here is a link to one of the commercials https://www.ispot.tv/ad/7cRK/biltmore-estate-recreation
Anyways...Rachel and Eric decided to spend the whole day at the Estate being "tourists" before their session and unfortunately they got stuck on "tour bus Tuesday" as we've come to know it. Since it's "technically" supposed to be a slow day at the estate lots of tours book and they were stuck in some pretty hefty crowds. By the time we met up with them they looked beat, but I did my best to perk them up and I'm PRETTY IN LOVE with their photos. It was nice to stay at the Estate until all the crowds were gone. That was when I finally felt the house's greatness. We weren't surrounded by shuttles or lines of people. It was so quiet and still. My sure recommendation for anyone that wants to really SEE the Estate is to stay as late as you can and take it all in. It's magical.
