"I'm going to love you for the rest of your life". We hear the sweetest things, the craziest things and see the weirdest things at weddings but WOW, was Ryan head over heels for Angie. The same could be said for Angie as well. Ryan stood up like the gentleman that he is after all of the toasts were complete and gave a "thank you" speech to everyone in attendance. He went on to praise his new wife but when he looked over at her and his voice cracked and said "I'm going to love you for the rest of your life", I don't think there was any of us that could keep in our emotions. What a beautiful couple surrounded by love and light.
They chose to host their wedding at the fabulous 21c Museum Hotel because they both told me they loved that it didn't have the same feeling that many of the other venues in Durham had. 21c's history is still pretty great, once an old bank it's now a modern hotel and art gallery. It's a great place to walk through if you ever get the chance and the staff is incredible. The art, ever changing and the atmosphere is just plain cool! It's very close to the American Tobacco Campus so many of our couples that marry at 21c still opt for some photos at ATC, as did Angie and Ryan. We planned for a first look and ALL of their photos prior to the ceremony. That included their wedding party and both sides of the family. Angie and Ryan wanted to take advantage of the building's old bank vault, something that not many couples can have photos in and that is where they wanted their semi-private first look. I say semi-private because both of their mom's tailed along. Both moms were sweet about it and we only heard the quiet whimpers of tears and they were great at comforting each other. But, how precious to watch your grown children see their soul mate for the first time on their wedding day. It's a gift that we do not take lightly each time we set up a "first look".
Once that was done, we got down to business and photos, photos, photos. Angie and Ryan hung in there like troopers! Once all the posed photos were done it was all down hill. Just a wedding ceremony to get through - no big deal (wink, wink). They did it with grace and style. What a day! WOW! It was BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Noah! You are FANTASTIC! We loved your families and friends, you were all so wonderfully kind to us. May life's road never be too bumpy for you. However, if it does get a little rough I know you two will have each other to navigate the twists and turns with and who knows...it might just turn in to the best adventure you've ever had!
