When it comes to two people who truly just wanted to make everyone at their wedding feel loved, important and wanted, Tina and Kyle are some of the best we've ever seen.  When it came to timing though, their wedding fell during the Charlotte riots and the location of their wedding reception which was also the location of their getting ready suites was right in the middle of Uptown Charlotte which was where the majority of the protests were taking place.  Fortunately, the National Guard had already been deployed and, for the most part, the rioting was under control however tensions were still high and many people were still uncomfortable and lots of people were on guard.

When we took Tina out of the Marriott for photos before we moved to the church the reaction to Tina and her bridesmaids was amazing and so moving!  People began honking and cheering and it was clear that most people were in need of seeing something positive and uplifting amist all of the chaos.  Apparently a beautiful bride and her lovely bridesmaids were just that and they were ready for a to take on that positive movement and change.  Immediately people began swarming to Tina.  She was an instant celebrity.  Everyone wanted their photo taken with HER!  It was like she became a beacon of hope and change for the city.  It was amazing.  You'd have to know Tina to understand just how special it was.  As I said before, Tina truly is someone who puts others before herself, so this made it even more special.  She really became a light for a few special moments.  Even after the ceremony several members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department asked to take their photo with her...it just seemed never ending.  Her light was everywhere!

The reception was beautiful inside the Marriott City Center.  Fun-filled dancing, laughter and so much love!  We could not have asked for a better day!  Congratulations Tina and Kyle!  Thank you for being so wonderful and carefree!  You two deserve so much happiness and thank you for thinking of us and wanting to take care of us as well.  We're so appreciative of your kindness and grace towards us.  We couldn't have asked for better clients on that day!
